Filling out this online application begins your admissions process. The following items are required to complete your application so it can be submitted to the Academic Affairs Committee for official acceptance:

  1. Application

  7. Student Statement

Please print off the form from our web site entitled "Student Statement," sign it and return it with your other documents. Download Statement.

  8. Personal Learning Community

BGU attributes much of its students’ educational success to what we call the “Personal Learning Community” (or PLC). Students create their PLC by identifying three to five individuals who contract with BGU to act as a support group for that student during the course of their studies. We have seen that students who utilize a PLC are much more successful and better able to achieve their goal of completing the program.

Previously we waited until students took their first class to ask them to find this group, but often the student became too busy and never established a PLC. We are so committed to seeing every student identify and obtain contracts for their PLC, that we have changed the admissions process to include the requirement that a minimum of three PLC members must submit a contract before an applicant will be considered for acceptance as a BGU student.

Please print PLC Contract and Evaluation and send it to three to five individuals who would be willing to support you during this time. They can be close friends, co-workers, pastors, spouse, children, etc. You will be asking them to read your homework and assist you in staying accountable to turn work in on time, etc.

  9. TOEFL Score (international students only)

All international applicants must submit a TOEFL score and only those applicants whose score is 80 or above will be considered for acceptance into BGU. Please use BGU's code number of 0709 for institution recipient. For on-line information about testing locations and practice tests go to www.ets.org/toefl.

  10. Educational Goals Essay

This essay should demonstrate the applicant’s writing ability as well as address the following: 1) Explain why you feel that an education from BGU is unique from other graduate schools; 2) What do you hope to learn from your educational experience at BGU; and 3) How do you see your education at BGU impacting your current ministry or organization? Download template.

One of the concepts that I remembered latching on to was the idea that our faith is not to be just an American faith, but a God faith, and He is God of all creation, in all countries. BGU is so much more than a school or para-church ministry. For me it embodies empowering and educating anyone who wants to be “Jesus with skin on” to those who need Him.
