The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) was founded in 1846 and currently coordinates national evangelical alliances in 130 nations. The WEA serves as the primary representative body of 650 million global evangelicals to the UN in New York and Geneva as well as media and other government entities. From November 7-12, the WEA held its General Assembly in Jakarta which was attended by over 800 global leaders including a team from BGU.
BGU’s President Brad Smith serves as the WEA Chair of the Global Institute of Leadership which serves as a means to translate BGU’s learning process to serve WEA national leaders. The BGU based team is currently surveying WEA national alliance leaders to learn more about their needs and strengths to build a face-to-face and virtual peer learning network of advanced leaders.
