The thesis of this dissertation is simple and yet its explanation is complex. The key idea of this study is based on the assertion that the principles of the Word of God are not always compatible with secular marketing strategies used by profit based corporations. Therefore it is not only unnecessary to use secular marketing strategies to evangelize, but it can be very unwise and possibly even sinful. The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 14:23b '. . . and everything that does not come from faith is sin.' and the Apostle James writes in chapter 4 verse 17 'Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.' One needs to remember that the Apostle Paul rejects the idea of 'Let us do evil that good may result.'
