This project is a research on how rejected addicts find faith in Christ. Drug-addiction and related problems are significant issues in the cities of Amsterdam and Accra, Ghana. Drug addiction is gradually destroying the homes of many people in these countries. If addicts are given attention and well cared for through rehabilitation, then it won’t be necessary to choke the various prisons in the country with drug users. Being a drug addict does not reduce the ability of the individual; helping that person to overcome his or her addiction will go a long way in saving many lives. This research studies seven drug addicts whose lives were transformed by the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ means different things to different people; however the Gospel as used in this research means the summary explanation of who Christ is, and what he has accomplished for all people. This research enables one to understand what the meaning of relationship with Christ is in the stories of drug addicts. This project studies a drug rehabilitation center called Victory Home Amsterdam with the intent of discovering transferable strategies to help drug addicts in Ghana, so that they can develop their potential and be raised and developed as leaders.
