Character qualities troubling to middle aged single adult Christians are the project’s focus. In particular the study, which is foundational in tone, sought to discover what non-sexual moral qualities and issues the target group found to be troubling, data as to moral process in the target group and age-related challenges that called upon moral behavior.
In the course of the development of the subject matter, foundation was laid for the development and deployment of three focusing tools. They are applicable in thee areas of curriculum development, appraisal development, and program development. Further, such studies as were accomplished then provide inputs that assist in studying the etiology of moral difficulties, the validation of normal struggles, and intervention strategies.
Limitations include the following. First, the body of knowledge in this area is far beyond what might be meaningfully managed even in survey fashion. Therefore, the literature section, as well as the theological section, was simply representative of what might be studied. The origin and development of moral qualities is from Judeo-Christian Scriptures and thus develop the concept that moral qualities find their origin in the communicated nature of God. A final limitation centers upon the data sample, which is only representative of a larger body of data that might be derived through further research.
