The Russian Orthodox Church: A Viable Home for Protestant Evangelical Christians?

by Michael P. Williams
June 1st, 1998
This project will encompass a general introduction to the history of the Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church. Each chapter will canvass only the years 327-988 A. D. (The Orthodox Church) and 988-1917 A. D. (The Russian Orthodox Church). The main focus of the Orthodox Church will be upon its beginnings, or more specifically, on the development of the first Seven Ecumenical Councils. The official decrees of these early conciliar councils established the foundation of the Orthodox Church, and thus, are an essential part of its Tradition and doctrinal beliefs.
