The aim of this dissertation is to produce a culturally contextualized curriculum, adaptable to the building of character and ethics in Jordanian youth. To obtain quantitative data on this subject, an Ethics Questionnaire was administered to 342 Jordanians between the ages of thirteen to seventeen. This research substantiated the premise that there is an ethical crisis among Jordanian youth. While there are other materials available to Jordanian youth for ethical development, there does not appear to exist ethics-oriented workshops and seminars based on the core of Old Testament ethics, which is the Decalogue. The curriculum is centered on the Decalogue because, in Jordan, the two major religions are Islam and Christianity where the Decalogue is mutually understood and whereby a discussion of ethics and a development of character could be provided. To ensure proper contextualization of the curriculum, it was designed in collaboration with a team of skillful, informed Jordanians.
