This project presents a two-fold model for preparing a launch team to plant a new church. The project is conducted by examining the literature and analyzing the data from a launch team preparation case study.

The data were limited to the available data on launch team preparation at East Park Church. The results are limited by the constraints of the project, which is to develop a two-fold model for launch team preparation. Therefore, the model does not address aspects of launching a church that are beyond the scope of launch team preparation.

A two-fold model is derived from the findings of the project. The model includes five elements: 1) utilization of a launch team, 2) assessment of launch team members, 3) focus on team member benefits, 4) instillation of ownership of vision in team members and, 5) employment of a variety of methods in team preparation.
